Mexico: Parents of 43 missing protested outside the presidential residence
Relatives of the missing 43 students protested on Christmas Eve in the vicinity of Los Pinos, the residence of the president of Mexico in the capital, braving the rain and cold.
The protesters had to settle with situated near the residence because security forces had placed hurdles that prevented access to the site.
According to the media, the protesters did not exceed half a hundred, including 10 families of 43 students disappeared on September 26 after being detained by security forces and handed over to members of the cartel Guerreros Unidos.
On the morning of Thursday remained a strong police presence and other protests were planned.
On Christmas Eve there were various activities to remember the disappeared and demand thorough investigation of what happened.
In the Independence Monument, downtown Mexico City, dozens of people gathered to pray for the missing while on the highway leading to the state of Guerrero, where the facts were produced, dozens of people were expressed with banners making referring to the missing.
