Mexico will employ measures against minors migratory flow
Mexico will take action to reduce the humanitarian crisis caused as a result of the increasing migration flows from children without adults towards U.S.
Mexicans signed, along with other nations of North America (U.S. and Canada) and members of the Northern Triangle (Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador), an extraordinary statement at the XIX Regional Conference on Migration.
This document invites to protect the human rights of children in their journey, dismantle gangs and traffickers and deploy media campaigns to eliminate the exodus of the poorest with the false promise of being legalized when reaching American soil.
“We will be more vigilant in the southern border, we are on an ordering of migration flows”, said Mercedes Guillen, Migration Undersecretary at the Ministry of the Interior (Home Office).
