Millionaire seizure of counterfeit dollars

Police found seven men (two Ecuadorians and five Colombians) with ten million counterfeit dollars, ready for circulation in the domestic market.

The seizure was made yesterday morning, in what is presumed was the gathering point located in the San Pedro de Taboada parish, in the southeast of Quito.

According to Colonel Ramiro Ortega, head of the Subdirectorate of Private Property Rights Investigation of the Anticrime Brigade (Sidpro-BAC) of the Judicial Police, 21 packages containing $100 banknotes with different serial numbers, inside suitcases ready to be transported, were found in the house.
