The state will subsidize retirement pensions in order that housewives have access to this benfit, said on Wednesday, January 21 the Minister of Labour, Carlos Marx Carrasco, in Guayaquil. This, in relation with the Social Justice and Labor Award of Household Work bills.
“It is not stipulated (the state) will subsidize the 40%, but it will rather cover everything, Only the 45% could be required, so it means is that the state will guarantee the contribution. There should not be confusion with that,” said Carrasco.
The current law provides that the State must assume the 40% contribution of retirement pensions of Social Security beneficiaries. To retire, housewives shall comply with 240 contributions.
