Minister of Public Health Resigns to his Post

Posted On 13 Jan 2012

David Chiriboga Allnutt yesterday resigned to his post as Minister of Public Health; he began work from April 21, 2010 when he replaced Caroline Chang.

It was learned that the official’s resignation is due to the criticism he received by Ecuadorian President, Rafael Correa, regarding problems at the Baca Ortiz Hospital of Quito.

The president visited yesterday the nursing home and listened to complaints from users about the lack of appointments. The president also inquired about an incident occurred last Friday when a six years old child fell down in a duct of a broken elevator.
