Ministry of Finance transferred the April and March allocations to the GADs

The Ministry of Finance reported through an email, that the government body paid in full the outstanding resources of March and April to all the the country’s autonomous governments including the provincial governments.
It explained that with this payment the state debt with the provincial governments is less than $ 180 million after May transfers. Nevertheless, it did not detail the amount transferred.
The ministry also noted that are payments for the Manabi and Esmeraldas provinces are up to date.
The press release emphasizes that “the transfers of the Model of Territorial Equity are subject to comply with the delivery of financial information, according to the deadlines set out in Article 152 of the Code of Planning and Public Finance, and Article 160 of its Regulations; therefore the reason why sectional organizations that did not receive the April 2016 payment is because they have not delivered this information.”
