Ministry of Health confirms twelve cases of Zika in the country

To date twelve cases of Zika have been confirmed in the country, seven are autochthonous and five imported, the Ministry of Public Health (MPH) reported through a press release.
It was also indicated that all those infected have received the respective treatment and are recovering in their homes.
Meanwhile, measures to prevent the spread of the virus would be implementing at national level, according to the bulletin.
Health districts of El Oro conduct fumigations and visits to rural and urban areas in order to destroy the breeding sites of the mosquito (Aedes aegypti), carrier of the disease.
