Monsignor Arregui, “the Catholic Church should be recognized the right to express its views”
Posted On 07 Sep 2015
Monsignor Antonio Arregui, Archbishop of Guayaquil, in an interview with Ecuavisa said that the problem is not in the offenses that were made against him but it should be recognized to the Church, as any citizen, also, the freedom to express its views in order and the promotion of the common good, and that’s not getting into partisan politics or power struggle but try to put some guidelines for ethical, moral order in the public life, that perhaps could be helpful to take appropriate decisions.
On the verbal note of protest delivered by the Government to the apostolic nuncio, Arregui said that there is an objective fact that is a note at the diplomatic level that has been presented, which shall somehow be overcome in diplomatic channels.
