A few minutes have passed since 05:00 of last Wednesday and two people from Quito, one person from Cotopaxi and six people from Los Rios are the first in a row of 27 people looking for a job in the second phase of the construction of the Quito subway. The cold is severe in the fenced field of the Huayanay Nan Avenue, in Quitumbe.
Although at 8:00 the four hours process began to collect resumes, interested parties started coming to the site from 03:00. That was the case of Henry Mieles and his five friends who left Buena Fe (Los Ríos) at 23:00 yesterday, hoping to get a job as a foreman or assistant.
