Posted On 06 Feb 2016
The president begins the letter emphasizing the wage conditions of the Armed Forces and its “improvement” during the government of the citizen revolution. “Together we have succeeded in improving your living, work, and retirement conditions. Since 2007, we have invested in equipment, infrastructure, housing, as well as the increase from four to nine times the amount of your salaries and pensions.
He also makes a clarification on revenues of the ISSFA, which according to the letter, went from $ 87 to more than 350 million. About pensions, he says that 60% are subsidized after the approval of the constitutional amendments, the same that are now used in “bad faith,” according to the letter, to relate them to the sale of ISSFA lands to the Ministry of Environment in 2010, where the Samanes park, in Guayaquil, is currently located.
In the same letter, he said that the sale of lands of the Isffa is a “problem purely of a legal nature” that has been evidenced by the Attorney General.
