National Assembly, along with CJ and CNJ will decide the deadline for the implementation of the Code of Processes
Posted On 13 Oct 2014
Authorities of the Assembly, the Council of the Judiciary (CJ) and the National Court of Justice (CNJ for its Spanish acronym) will be responsible for defining the term for the General Code of Processes (Cogep for its Spanish acronym) to take effect after its approval.
This project changes the rules in the process of non-criminal trials (tenancy, labor, family and others), reforming processing times and incorporating orality.
Mauro Andino, President of the Commission for Justice, (AP) noted that the deadline for the implementation of the Code could be six months or a year.
In the comission it is expected to finish the study of the project in the first fifteen days of the next month.
