New aquarium of Valdivia is opened in February

The coordinator the zone 5 of the Ministry of Tourism, Larissa Marangoni, has confirmed the opening of the Valdivia marine park in February of this year. The work that is located in the locality of the same name, aims to be the biggest tourist attraction of the Spondylus Route.

Marangoni said that the facilities are in the final phase and the pumps for the  aquarium are being tested. She also reported that a boardwalk will also be built in the area of the lake created by the entry of the sea.

Currently they are training the personnel that will work at the park and it is expected that they are ready for the opening to give a good service to the visitors, said Marangoni.

Between the inhabitants of Valdivia exists great expectation and they expect that with the opening of the new aquarium the town can receive a higher number of visitors.

It should be noted that this work will replace the old aquarium that have more than a decade of existence, where visitors can see on different pools, the cohabitation of penguins, turtles, birds and sea lions.
