New Esmeraldas refinery will paralyze its FCC unit for 9 days

Ecuador’s Esmeraldas refinery, which processes 110,000 barrels per day (bpd) of oil, foresees a scheduled shutdown of the operations of its biggest unit operations for nine days in order to make “tuning and cleaning”works, said Thursday state oil company Petroecuador.
Esmeraldas recently started its total operations after a process to enhance its installed capacity, which included a change of several units, including the Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (FCC)
