New laboratory for hydrocarbon control is built

The construction of the new National Center for Quality Control of Hydrocarbons, which was opened yesterday at La Armenia sector (east of Quito) at the premises of the Agency for the Regulation and Control of Hydrocarbons (ARCH), had a cost a of $1million dollars.
According to the Agency, the Center’s mission will be the quality control of petroleum, its derivatives and biofuels that are marketed at national and international level. It will also be a support for the exploration, production and transportation of crude oil, on the fulfillment of environmental parameters.
