Nobis interested in investing on deepwater port
“We are talking with the authorities of the central and sectional government about the construction of the Posorja Deepwater Port,” reported the spokesmen of the company through a statement, which also mentioned that the Dubai-based ports company DP World would support the project.
According to the release, the port would be located in an area of over 120 hectares and would have a planned movement of 2.5 million containers per year.
In addition, the plan would include quay walls with a depth of 15.5 meters, capable of receiving Panamax and Post-Panamax vessels.
Furthermore, the Municipality of Guayaquil will convene an international contest to facilitate access by water to Guayaquil, dredging the river at a depth of 11 meters at low tide.
