Noboa seeks more electoral support among his former allies
Gilmar Gutierrez, leader of the Patriotic Society Party (PSP), confirmed that he agrees in many things with Alvaro Noboa and his political party Adelante Ecuatoriano Adelante (AEA). One of those coincidences, he said to the Ecuadorinmediato website is to be open to dialogues with other political groups regardless ideologies, to deal with a “fraudulent” electoral process.
These reactions arise after the Guayaquil businessman affirmed he has maintained permanent contacts with various political groups and gives alliances for granted. On Monday, Noboa reiterated that his party (AEA) continues to pursue the unity by talking with other national leaders to reach a consensus in order to launch a single candidate. On the dialogues for an alliance with the party of former President Lucio Gutierrez, Noboa stressed: “We are on the verge of a final agreement because we agree on almost everything (…), there is good news I can not advance, but we have progressed and large parties, like Patriotic Society, could join us.”
