North Korea moves another missile and increase fears of war
North Korea moved a second medium-range missile to its coast, reported yesterday the South Korean Agency Yonhap, which increases the fears of an imminent launch that would aggravate an already considered explosive situation in the region.
North Korea proposed, in addition, to foreign embassies in Pyongyang to evacuate its staff, said a Russian source.
North Korea warned that it can not guarantee the safety of diplomats after April 10, and reiterated that a nuclear conflict on the Peninsula could explode at any time, because of the sanctions imposed by the United Nations for the nuclear tests of North Korea.
Tension with North Korea has rocked South Korean financial markets which warned that there could be a long-term impact.
For the 160,000 residents of the island of Guam, which belongs to U.S. as not incorporated territory, accustomed to military activity in daily life, now are presented with a new military element, a defense system against missiles or warheads to be installed by these days.
Guam is one of the objectives that the North Korean leader, Kim Jong – un, has threatened to attack, along with Hawaii, South Korea and Japan.
The Pentagon warned that any further provocative action “would be regrettable”.
