Nuclear Central for Venezuela
Russia and Venezuela signed a treaty for the construction of the first Nuclear Central in the South American country. This Friday the Venezuelan leader, Hugo Chávez meet with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev at Moscow, the event was covered on television.
The board of Rosatom a Russian Agency of Atomic Energy designed the treaty, which was surveyed by Serguei Kirienko and a Venezuelan representative.
After signing the treaty Medvedev commented to the press “Why Venezuela shouldn’t have a central? … this provides independence even if the crude selling’s start to wane, our economies are vulnerable, we talked about this.”
The issue regarding the Nuclear Central was discussed during Prime Minister Vladimir Putin first visit to Caracas on last April.
