‘Number Two’ of Al Qaeda Killed in Pakistan

Abu Yahya al-Libi, considered the number two of Al Qaeda died on Monday in a missile strike by a United States in the tribal area of Waziristan.

Libi became the number two and chief strategist after the death of Bin Laden whereas the Egyptian doctor, Ayman al-Zawahri, became the leader of Al Qaeda.

The death of Abu Yahya al-Libi is a major blow to the terrorist network, which lost several of their leaders with the U.S. attacks.

Al-Libi, had a degree in chemistry, specializing in new information technologies, became famous in 2005 when he escaped from U.S. prison in Afghanistan. They had offered a reward of one million dollars for his capture. (PLS)
