One dead and 11 hit by a driver in Los Angeles
Nathan Louis Campbell, 38 years old, was arrested yesterday for being suspected of murder, after a car crashed into a crowd on the promenade of Venice Beach, where an Italian woman died and 11 others were injured.
The subject was arrested about two hours after the incident and acknowledged being involved, so he was jailed with a bail of one million dollars.
A security video taken at the scene of the incident showed a subject while he parked a black car, then came out of the vehicle and toured the scene looking for several minutes before he went back to the car and accelerate into the crowd who was walking or sitting in a coffee shop, and they ran hastily to one side until the vehicle hit them.
People were “stumbling, blood dripping down their legs, they looked confused not knowing what had happened;” the people were shouting”, said Louisa Hodge, one of the witnesses who described the event.
