PAIS Assemblymen are studying labor reforms

Assemblymen from the Alianza País party (AP) of the Committee on the Rights of the Workers, met yesterday with the Minister of Industrial Relations, Carlos Marx Carrasco, and the President of the Assembly, Gabriela Rivadeneira, to discuss specific labor reforms.

Bairon Valle (AP), member of the Commission, said: “We are working on the issues that could be vital at this time to reform the current code without discarding the new code later”.

Fausto Cayambe (AP), block coordinator and member of the Commission, explained that in the reforms contemplated are: the new working modalities, the strengthening and democratization of unions, the void dismissal for pregnant women and the types of contracts.
