Payment of tariffs for 160 products from Colombia and Peru will be returned and measure will be excluded
The National Customs Service of Ecuador (Senae for its Spanish acronym) reported on January 28 that the Committee of Foreign Trade (Comex) decided to exclude from the collection of the corrective measure (safeguard) to 160 tariff subheadings. The measure allows to products originating of Colombia and Peru continue with the preferential tariff (0%).
As regards the customs import declarations transmitted from 21 to 28 January of this year, including on each record any of the items mentioned in the Annex 1 of Resolution 002-2015 of Comex, and which have made a payment for the concept of safeguard, an administrative process will be performed for returning that amount to the importer . “This procedure should be performed through the Senae districts where the customs declaration for these products are made,” said Senae.
