Pensioners ask for the Defense Minister´s output

A group of pensioners of the Social Security Institute of the Armed Forces (ISSFA, in spanish) declared yesterday the defense minister, Ricardo Patino, enemy of the Armed Forces and requested his release from the ministry of State in the midst of a sit in the La Recoleta .

With shouts and slogans they presented three requests: payment of debt held by the state to ISSFA for $ 392 million since December 2014, they said; the regime must socialize with the pensioners the project of special regime of the Armed Forces and an urgent meeting of the Board to make decisions regarding the lack of resources for taking care of the members.

Ernesto Gonzalez, former head of the Joint Command, led the protest and claimed that the affectation to ISSFA from the Government is considerable, since the issue of the grounds of Samanes Park in Guayaquil and the debt to ISSFA, which prevents the military social security provide health services and pensioners, he said.
