People close to Putin are included in the list of sanctioned by the EU
The European Union (EU) has included in its blacklist of Russian and Ukrainian, people close to the Russian President Vladimir Putin, who are sanctioned for threatening the sovereignty and stability of Ukraine.
In the list, which was published yesterday in the Official Journal of the EU, eight people are included, where stand out Yuriy Valentinovich Kovalchuk and Nikolay Terentievich Shamalov, founders of Ozero Dacha, entity of influential people around Putin.
To the sanctioned is added the Russian anti-aircraft systems maker Almaz-Antei, because the Buk air defense systems supposedly could have been used to bring down the Malaysian plane that crashed on Donetsk.
The Rusian National Commercial Bank is added, completely controlled by the Republic of Crimea after the annexation of the pro-Russian region, which “materially and financially supports the actions of the Russian government to integrate Crimea” in the Federation.
So far, the sanctioned list already adds 85 people and 23 entities.
