Peru and Colombia stand in solidarity with Ecuador; Boluarte orders to reinforce the border
«The Government of Colombia expresses its explicit and unequivocal support for democratic institutions and the rule of law in the sister Republic of Ecuador. In that sense, it rejects the recent acts of violence unleashed in several cities of the brother country and expresses its solidarity with those affected,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The information added that the Government of Gustavo Petro, president of Colombia, “hopes that the security situation is stabilized, and public order is restored.”
According to Ecuavisa, he expressed his “support for the Government and people of Ecuador and expresses his solidarity with its legitimate authorities, with a view to restoring the spirit of harmony” within “the framework of the principles of the rule of law.”
For its part, Peru, through a statement, expressed its support for the Government of Daniel Noboa.
