Posted On 23 Dec 2010

The Interior Minister, Alfredo Vera Arrata, confirmed yesterday that Judicial Police of Guayas (PJ-G) facilities will remain where they currently work: in Portete Avenue in the southwest of the city.

Yesterday morning the official held a tour at the building, where he said that is better to make improvement works in technical and social areas rather than a police department.

President Rafael Correa said at first that personnel and equipment from the PJ-G would be moved to the former building of Puntilla Mall; however the Judicial Police of Guayas will remain on the actual premises.

Vera explained that at the former building of Puntilla Mall would be build a Citizens Service Centre, similar to those in Montecristi (Manabí) and La Libertad (Santa Elena), where are focus some state agencies, including various services of National Police, with this the users can do several proceedings in one place.
