Pope Francisco has a “new” car and defend the traditional family
Zocca Renzo, 70, Italian pastor of a small town of Verona, gave the Pope Francisco his old car, a Renault of nearly 30 years, with about 300 000 kilometers.
Zocca offered the car to the Pope, and on early August, the Pope got in touch with him to thank him for the gesture and accept it.
The “Vatican Insider” ensures that both talked for a long time and the Pope asked him several times: “Are you really sure?, Do you really want it for me?, Isn’t it better to give it to the poor?”. To which Zocca replied “that car had done much for the poor and now had to be to the Pope.”
On the other hand, the pontiff stressed yesterday, to the participants of the 47th Social Week of Italian Catholics that the Catholic Church offers a view of the traditional family, as the Book of Genesis: “unity in difference between man and woman, and their fertility. ”
The Pope stressed that the “family remains thus understood as the first and main builder of society and of an economy tailored to men, and as such deserves to be actively sustained.”
Francisco said that “the family is a privileged school of generosity, sharing, responsibility; that educates to overcome an individualistic mentality that has made its way into our society.”
