The crimes related to child pornography is growing in the world. Ecuador is not the exception of this phenomenon that is expanding in Latin America, warns Steven Richarson, civil deputy from the US Embassy, stationed in Ecuador.
Just last year, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the US received around 6.400 reports from users in Ecuador that were transmitting, receiving, or trading images or videos of child pornography.
This data was reported to the Judicial Police and the Prosecution in Ecuador. This data served to detain two persons in The Chillos Valley (“El Valle de los Chillos” in Spanish”, at the southeast of Quito. The victims were two minors, female, age 7. (I)
