Glas is one of three investigated for alleged irregularities in the award of a work contract.
Luis Rivera, a judge of the National Court of Justice, was the one who called the hearing and who knows about the case.
The Prosecutor’s Office reported that it managed to gather the necessary elements of conviction to support the formulation of charges against Jorge Glas and two others involved in the alleged crime of embezzlement.
This will be the fourth filing of charges against the former vice president. To his credit, Glas has two executed sentences for corruption in the Odebrecht and Bribery cases, in addition to the annulment of the embezzlement sentence in the Singue case that returned to a previous investigation.
Likewise, Diario Expreso details that Glas is accused of alleged irregularities in the delivery of a contract for the construction of the Manta – Colisa project of around 22 kilometers in length for more than 68 million dollars.
