The Attorney General’s Office says it has no indication that Henry Kronfle participated in the crime for which Pablo Muentes is being investigated, within the Purge case.
The State Attorney General’s Office ruled out opening a specific investigation into the social network account X of the president of the National Assembly, Henry Kronfle.
He clarified that an expert report arranged by prosecutor Diana Salazar seeks to materialize links that are included in an integrated report, but that this does not mean that there is any suspicion about Kronfle.
“The evidence collected has not indicated any participation of the head of the Legislative power in the case for which Pablo M. is being investigated,” he wrote, in a statement, in reference to the Purge case in which the former Christian Social assemblyman, Pablo Muentes, is being investigated.
The clarification came after a media outlet announced that an investigation would be carried out on Kronfle’s X accounts and some social media users began to speculate that the tax action would be to condition an eventual impeachment against Salazar.
“Enough of the lies!” wrote the president of the Assembly himself, who echoed the clarification of the Prosecutor’s Office. The official account of the Assembly also published what was said by the investigative entity.
On March 27, Prosecutor Salazar met with Kronfle in the Assembly. According to official information, they discussed the bills that the Prosecutor’s Office has sent.
Also, define a date for the prosecutor’s appearance before the plenary session to announce the progress of cases handled by the Attorney General’s Office and that have been required in legislative resolutions.
