Mark Zuckerberg, the billionaire founder of Facebook, announced on Thursday night that with his wife, Priscilla Chan, will donate 120 million to public schools in the Bay Area of San Francisco.
The money will be delivered along five years and will serve primarily to finance the purchase of computers, internet access facilities and training teachers for the public schools of San Francisco.
“The Bay Area is one of the most prosperous places in the world and yet, there are many schools that lack resources,” said Zuckerberg in his Facebook account.
“Improving the public system in our country is something that we care a lot Priscilla and me,” he added.
