Putin will use his influence with pro-Russian to facilitate investigations of the Malaysian plane

Russian President Vladimir Putin, today promised that Moscow will use all its influence with rebels of the pro-Russian eastern Ukraine to facilitate the investigation on the disaster of the Malaysian plane.

According to local agencies, during a meeting of the Security Council associated to the Kremlin, Putin said: “Russia will do everything that depends on it to have a full, multilateral, thorough and transparent investigation.”

He also stressed the need for the Kiev authorities to order a ceasefire during the investigation of the Boeing-777 incident, allegedly shot down by a missile in eastern Ukraine, an area controlled by the separatists.

“It is necessary, of a once and for all, urge the authorities of Kiev to observe basic standards of decency and implement, even for a short period of the investigation a ceasefire,” said the Russian President.
