Rafael Correa: ISSFA´s issue is a “minor issue”

President Ecuador Rafael Correa said that the offset of accounts for 41 million dollars between the State and the Institute of Social Security of the Armed Forces (ISSFA) was performed according to the law and a trial is not needed. Yesterday government supporters gathered in the Plaza Grande, before the claims of retired military officers.

Correa questioned those who have claimed for those values, as a group of retired military who protested on Wednesday with their families in the Shyris Avenue. The value corresponds to an alleged overpricing in the purchase of land for the construction of the Samanes park in the north of the city.
