Rains wreak havoc in Manabi areas

Rains have wreaked havoc in areas of Manabi such as floods and landslides in recent days.

In total 20 houses they were affected by the floods recorded last Sunday in Flavio Alfaro, Manabi, according to a report by the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES) and the Unit for Risks and Disasters Management and the Municipality of this county.

The coordinator of the Risks and Disasters Management of the municipal GAD, Adrian Zambrano, said that the MIES gave to the five most affected families sleeping, cleaning and food kits.

Since Monday, Flavio Alfaro´s municipal machinery and staff of the Fire Department cleaned the streets and removed the mud, since sedimentation covered the main access routes to citadels as La Grijalva, Municipal 1, El Paraiso, Luis Naveda, among others.
