“Recycle” is a new technique to exploit recycled
Ecuadornews:
With an investment of $ 25 thousand, the company Nutec, which specializes in the supply of plastic raw materials for the local industry, developed a new technique called Recycle, which seeks to take advantage of recycled products, also made of plastic, to produce raw materials for new items.
Jorge Luzuriaga, general manager of Nutec, inaugurated yesterday morning the area of the company destined for this development, whose first client is the company Rabe, which produces plastics to wrap the banana in the plantations and for the boxes of the fruit that is export to different markets.
Ricardo Tama, representative of Rabe, said that buying this raw material is 30% cheaper than buying one that does not use recycled and that the company plans to order 15 tons of raw material every 15 days.
Luzuriaga explained that the process for the development of the new raw material is based on mixing recycled product, raw material of first quality and additives according to the specifications of the client to give greater strength to the finish.
Alfredo Hoyos, president of the Ecuadorian Association of Plastics (Aseplas), highlighted the Nutec initiative and recalled that Ecuador imports 360 thousand tons of raw material for plastic, of which 25% is recycled and re-industrialized and seek to that percentage increases. (I)
