Representative of workers of Claro rejects reform to Telecommunications Law
Posted On 09 Aug 2014
Bryan Zambrano, representative of the workers of Claro, said that the draft reform to the Telecommunications Law would be unconstitutional because it infringes their rights, cutting off their profits to 3%, in order to grant 12% to the State.
“We are not a privileged class, we are a working class that has the privilege of working in a company that contributes to the growth of the country”, said Zambrano.
He also referred to the Telecommunications Development Fund (Fodetel for its Spanish acronym), which he highlighted: “all companies that use radio spectrum provide 2.93% of its gross sales”.
