Safeguards affected profits of construction entrepeneurs in the range of 11 to 17% says Joan Proaño

Real estate entrepreneur Joan Proaño said in an interview with Ecuavisa the impact of tariff surcharges in the construction sector, he said that there are many affected products, mainly glass, plasterboard and construction machinery, items that are not produced in the country.
Here the most affected is the finish part. So that the impact of the application of safeguards in the segment was from 3 to 5% in its direct costs; implying an affectation from 2 to 3.5% in real estate projects, while the impact on profits of promoters is from 11 to 17%.
He says that the impact has been great because they were not prepared for safeguard measures.
