Salinas Fashion Weekend showcased local and international designs

The Ecuadorian event, the Salinas Fashion Weekend, showcased designs specialized for the beach season. Local and international designers attended the event where models not only were wearing clothes for the beach, but for casual occasions, nightlife, and weekends.

On the catwalks, the designs highlighted the use of cotton and chiffon. Other designs showcased the use of textures prints achieved through the use of citrus and strong colors; while some swimsuits were inspired by the decades of the 50s and 60s.

The designers from Guayaquil, Cristina Shepherd, representing the brand “Muñeca Swimwear”, and Isabel Guzman, creator of the brand “Isaga Fashion”, presented their bikini collections. Prints of fruits, especially pineapples, were in the creations of Isaga and David Cordero. (I)
