Santos calls to unity for the peace of Colombia
The President of Colombia Juan Manuel Santos, took office to exert his second term and yesterday, during his inaugural speech, he made an appeal to the unity of his fellow countrymen regarding the construction of a new country in peace.
“I firmly believe that Colombia should follow a goal to which we can all commit: being in 2025 a country in total peace, a country with more equity and the most highly educated in Latin America,” said Santos in his inaugural address in Bogota.
To build a new country on these “three pillars” Santos proposed to Colombians: “May we walk together, may we work together for what we had never imagined as a country.”
The President-elect said: “Colombia today travels a path of hope, a path to peace and social security, a path that stands out among the nations of the world.”
