Second round of presidential elections starts in Brazil
The Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and her rival in the polls, the social democratic Aécio Neves, voted in the first hours of the second round of the presidential elections in Brazil, on October 26.
According to the latest polls released on Saturday, October 25 by the Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion and Statistics (IBOPE for its Spanish acronym) and the Datafolha Institute, Rousseff arrives to the second round with a slight lead over her opponent, and can be harvested between 52 and 53 percent of the vote, which is an advantage of four to six points against Neves.
The Brazilian Social Democratic Party (PSDB) voted at about 10:30 local time (12:30 GMT) at a school in Belo Horizonte, where Rousseff studied in the past.
Rousseff, in turn, came at 08:45 local time (10:45 GMT) at a school in the southern city of Porto Alegre to vote, seeking for reelection.
