This Monday the Ministry of Interior informed that a series of attacks in Iraq have claimed the lives of 44 people, dozens more have been wounded. The deadliest attack occurred in an Iraqi military base north of Baghdad.
The report indicated that militants armed with mortars and small truck weapons struck at the base killing 15 soldiers. According to authorities at least three people were wounded during the bold attack on the base in the town of Dhuluiya.
More explosions were reported in the oil-rich city of Kirkuk, when three car bombs and five roadside bombs exploded in several locations. In western Baghdad, a roadside bomb wounded three people. AV
