Posted On 31 Aug 2016
Yesterday, two guards from the Special Operations Service were guarding the entrance to the headquarters of the National Union of Educators (UNE) of Guayas, located in the Carchi and Argentina streets.
In these intersections a bus of the Community Policing Unit (UVC) and an armored GOE, were parked, plus two patrolmen.
According to the soldiers, the atmosphere remained calm yesterday. Teachers went to the facility, but there were no problems.
The president of the UNE Guayas, Glenda Soriano, said they made a peaceful sit and now they plan to return to the site, meet at 15:00 and repeat the protest.
