Sony Launches Personal 3D Viewer
The Japanese company Sony will introduce to the market a personal visor that fits over the head to watch movies, music videos and 3D games.
This piece of high technology, called HMZ 3D combines glasses and earplugs. It also has Blu-ray connectivity, it uses OLED display from Sony, offering an image quality superior to LCD and plasma screens. Some of the technology company executives indicated that the viewing expierience is equivalent to the experience of sitting in the best seat in a movie theater.
Shigeru Kato, a vice president of Sony, warned that the 3D viewer is not recommended for people under 16 years of age since some experts believe that the overdrive is not good for the brains that are still developing.
The HMZ 3D viewer, which costs about $ 800, will be on the shelves since November 11th in Japan and Europe and is expected to hit the U.S. market at Christmas.(MS)
