In 2013 with an alliance between Samsung and Hyundai, the car company plans to introduce vehicles with boards for smart phones along with internet access. This will also come with entertainment offers. Currently the world leader of vehicles Toyota developed the Entune, an application for smart phones that allows internet access from the car and several other activities like online music, navigation system through a mobile network.
Meanwhile Ford Company is developing a GPS and WiFi service for its vehicles. General Motors announced that their Buick Lacrosse would be able to perform video calls through Skype, and in case of an accident there will be a video recording of the event as proof.
The advantages of vehicles with internet connection are limitless; however, this will happen in months or years. Another technology to be installed is a sensor that let the company know the location and condition of the vehicle should an accident occur.
