Spain detects business opportunities with Ecuador in the field of the ‘smart cities’

Spain has identified new business opportunities in Ecuador, particularly in the sector of the ‘smart cities’.

According to the report ‘Market of Smart Cities in Ecuador´, elaborated by the Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX), that emphasizes that this field has great potential, although it may be “affected by the country’s fiscal imbalances”.

An executive summary of the study points out that the prospective clients for Spanish companies are public institutions or different bodies of the territorial administration of the Ecuadorian State.

In fact, business opportunities have been located in the development of public services, such as for example water purification, sewage or waste treatment.
