The Provincial Volleyball Association of Guayas will not have any representatives this afternoon during the Extraordinary Assembly convened by the president of Fedeguayas Pierina Correa. The reason: they do not agree with the way in which the call was made and, mainly, because the points to treat are not of concern to the leaders of this sport.
Cristian Duque, President of the Volleyball Association, demands “that the immediate dismissal of the Fedeguayas administrator.” IHe refers to Rosa Edith Rada, “who even pretends to charge us” for the use of the courts, which are in poor condition. Rotten planks that have not been changed, says Duque, so his administration has had to cover them with synthetic material as far as possible.
It is about this situation that Duke and other sports leaders have asked Pierina Correa to call an Extraordinary Assembly, “but she summons it when it is not necessary to do it and to try other points where what she seeks is a vote of applause.” (I).
