Three students from the Polytechnic University of Chimborazo created `Don´t Stop Talking,´ a software that helps people with hearing disabilities to strengthen the received therapies to articulate words, in order to learn to speak.
The system functions as a selfie, where the therapist records the class, focusing exclusively on his face, and then he uploads it on the `Don´t Stop Talking´ platform. Then, the program identifies and broadens the mouth area, since the aim is that the user learns to read lips and recognize words through the articulations lips realize.
`Don´t Stop Talking´ is part of the 30 finalists at international level of the Microsoft program Challenge for Change, whose 5 winners will be announced on the 27th of this month.
