Posted On 28 Dec 2015
The Superintendency of Communication (Supercom) issued a written reprimand against Channel One because last October 12 it broadcast images and stories in its newscast of an alleged marital aggression “without preventing a morbid treatment of the content of the news story.”
The resolution was published on Tuesday. On Thursday, however, the institution fined the El Clarin de Babahoyo newspaper with a base salary ($ 354) for failing to identify 18 articles with the letters “I” (of information), P (advertising), E (entertainment) and F (educational). (I)
