“A political article, written from the point of view of Ecuadorian minorities, is not always an intercultural content that contributes to the integration of the people. A news piece about corn and rice planting helps to strengthen the food patrimony” declared today the Ecuadorian Daily, “EXPRESO”.
This past January 4th, the daily published two articles related political issues regarding minorities and local agriculture. SUPERCOM, the Ecuadorian State entity that regulates the local media, ellaborated a report against the daily, and inmediatedly accused and penalized the daily with a heavy fine. (I)
