Syria Attacks Arab League with Conspiracy Theories
Syria has accused the Arab League of implementing foreign conspiracy plans in the country after a new initiative by the organization that called for President Bashar al-Assad to step down and end the hostilities.
The Arab League has decided to withdraw their observers from its mission in Syria, after stating that their initiative has failed to stop the bloodshed. Their new plan is similar to the arrangement in Yemen.
Syria’s foreign minister Walid al-Muallem told in a news conference that such proposal was a violation to his country’s sovereignty. The foreign minister attacked the League for siding with UN plan. Muallem added, “It is the duty of the Syrian government to take the necessary measures to address the problem of those armed elements who are wreaking havoc throughout Syria.” (AV)
